Hey all! So, I've heard from a couple people that keeping a blog while studying abroad is a really fun way to keep family and friends in touch with what your up to studying away. So, I've decided to do just that, I will be posting pictures and writing about the day in the life of Amy, as a study abroad student at the American Intercontinental University London!

Only 14 more day until I leave!
Hi everyone! I'm so excited to embark on this journey to London to get such a unique educational experience! I will arrive January 3rd around noon-ish and take a taxi to the flat where I will be staying, which is about a forty-five minute walk from the AIU campus. Most people in London take the Underground/Subway to get to work and many other destinations and use oysters cards to pay. I will be given an oyster card the day I get there and some campus representatives will be showing us students how to use the oyster cards in the Underground and how to navigate. They will show us how to get to and from campus and all the nearby places like cafes, restaurants, places to get food as well as our nearest grocery store. This will be different for me because at UW-Stout they have a cafeteria that pretty much all students eat at every day. I will definitely have to become quite the cook while in my London flat kitchen because on campus they don't have a cafeteria, but do have little snack carts. One thing I heard that amazed me was that most grocery stores there do not have peanut butter, America's most common sandwich food that goes with jelly. So, I'm packing peanut butter as weird as that may sound, but I do hear they love nutella over there and I have nothing against that, it's so chocolatey, hazel-nutty and delicious! Well until next time, I wish you all a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
